This was a pertinent post. an interesting and well-written article! I came across your post while trying to find a source for health-related topics. Families come to face the fact that one of their members has Alzheimer's in many ways. Husband or wives may begin to realize that their spouse is behaving differently, is sometimes unable to perform normal tasks, and has surprising lapses in memory. Extended families living together usually come to this same gradual realization. It is different, and more difficult, when the afflicted person lives alone, because no one sees what happens every day and realizes that help is needed.

We have made a website that tries to address the common issues that carers of people with Alzheimers have. Hopefully this helps relieve some of the suffering that carers experience which can sometimes be as bad as the sufferer themselves. Best of luck.

This might take a bit of research.

I would say to contact agencies who are working on a cure, but not sure how you'd find that --I'd say start with local hospitals and go from there?
